When setting up your ad set, you might be wondering how many ads to include per ad set or campaign.

Honestly, it depends on what you're trying to achieve and the size of your audience.

Generally speaking, starting with 2-6 different ads is a good move!

Having multiple ads lets Facebook do its thing—optimizing delivery based on which ads perform better. This way, you can see which ones really click with your audience

Based on what you find, you can tweak and improve your ads. It's really all about quality, not quantity. Make sure each ad is unique and speaks directly to your target audience.

So, focus on creating a few solid ads, monitor how they're performing, and adjust as you go along. but keep them at 6/ad set initially. That’s the answer!

Now here’s the nuance. The more control you give to Meta, the better data you should be optimizing off of.

Meta said that they will roll out optimization based on LTV soon. But when? who knows.

I would bet that’ll benefit some advertisers, especially those who are only selling to high income people.

The tricky part with putting multiple ads into one ad set, is Meta doesn't know your customer/lead value.

So sometimes, you could technically do an ABO campaign(budget on the ad set level) and just put 1 ad in each, especially when the ads are different/talking to different audience or can produce significantly different lead/customer value.

So in the case where you can have significantly different LTVs, you can separate ads in different ad sets, have more control over what’s going on, and pay more per quality customer and it's better long-term.

But when we have just one product, you can give Meta more control.
